Acceptable Use Policy
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the permissible and prohibited uses of the Foreman AI orchestration platform. As an AI-powered service, it is critical that the platform is used responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws. This AUP supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, the Terms of Service (Section 6). Where the Terms and this AUP overlap, they are to be read together; this AUP provides the detailed, controlling list of prohibited uses.
2. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use, or facilitate the use of, the Service to:
- High-Risk Decisions: Make, recommend, rank, score, filter, or substantially facilitate a decision about a specific person's employment, benefits, housing, credit, lending, insurance, healthcare, or education eligibility. Foreman may be used only for neutral administrative support in these domains, with a qualified human independently making the decision.
- Payment Execution: Use agents to autonomously execute payments, refunds, charges, transfers, payouts, or checkout transactions. Payment activity must remain a human-directed platform billing action.
- Regulated or Sensitive Data: Submit protected health information, nonpublic consumer financial information, education records, criminal-justice information, export-controlled technical data, or other regulated data unless Foreman has expressly agreed in writing to the required terms and controls, such as a BAA where applicable.
- Professional Advice: Generate and distribute outputs intended as definitive legal, medical, or financial counsel. The AI agents are assistants, not licensed professionals.
- Illegal & Harmful Content: Create, distribute, or promote content that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise illegal.
- Circumvention & Abuse: Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or safety guardrails enforced by Foreman or our underlying LLM providers (e.g., prompt injection or jailbreaking).
- Automated Scraping: Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to scrape data, outputs, or intellectual property from the Service.
- Reselling Access: Resell, lease, or sub-license your access to the Foreman agents or infrastructure without explicit written commercial agreement.
- Third-Party Personal Data: Sell, license, or broker third-party personal data obtained through the Service or connected integrations.
- Unauthorized Data or Accounts: Access, import, enrich, disclose, or use personal information or a connected account unless you have authority to do so and comply with the source platform's applicable terms.
- Unlawful Communications: Send email, SMS, or other outreach without required consent, sender identification, disclosures, unsubscribe mechanisms, or suppression-list compliance; use purchased or unlawfully obtained contact lists; or conceal the identity of the sender.
- Regulated Industries: Operate fully autonomous workflows in heavily regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, defense) where human verification is legally required but omitted.
- Misinformation & Deception: Generate deepfakes, large-scale disinformation campaigns, or impersonate real individuals without their explicit consent.
3. Responsible AI Usage
Users must employ the platform to augment their business capabilities responsibly. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the context provided to the agents and the ensuing deliverables align with your company's ethical guidelines and legal obligations.
4. Enforcement and Suspension
Foreman reserves the right to monitor for and investigate suspected violations, and may suspend running agents, revoke API keys, or terminate a workspace for violations. Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of running agents, revocation of API keys, or permanent termination of the workspace without refund.
Appeals. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@foreman.company within 30 days. We will review the appeal, respond with the outcome, and restore access where an action is reversed.
